What to Expect

We strive to make your visit to our office welcoming and comfortable.

On your first visit you will be greeted by Tammy, Colleen and Reille, and asked to fill out information forms that will provide the doctor with some background regarding your complaint and general health.

You will then be introduced to  Dr. Popham  where he will take you through a series of more detailed questions. This will be followed by an examination during which the doctor will perform a series of tests that will help determine the source of your pain.  Depending on your specific condition he may send your for x-rays.

Based on findings from the history and examination, the doctor will present to you a report of findings, where he will propose a treatment plan that will be most beneficial for your recovery, and answer questions, including "how often do I need to come in". If the doctor feels that your pain is best treated in combination with another health professional, such as a medical doctor, massage therapist or specialist, the appropriate referral will be provided.

Lastly, once you are comfortable with the proposed treatment, your first visit will conclude with that treatment.

The first visit requires more time due to the time required for the information forms, history and examination. Each following visit will be shorter in length, and will consist of a few questions from the doctor and treatment. The doctor will perform periodic evaluations on you throughout your course of treatment to monitor your progress.
