What to Expect

We strive to make your visits to our office welcoming and comfortable.

On your first visit you will be greeted by Tammy or Colleen, and asked to complete some forms that will provide the doctor with information and background regarding your complaint and general health.

Dr. Popham will then take you through a series of more detailed questions. This will be followed by an examination where he will perform a series of tests that will help determine the source of your pain.  Depending on your specific condition he may send you for x-rays.     

Based on findings from the history and examination, Dr. Popham will propose a customized treatment plan for your recovery. If the doctor feels that your pain is best treated in combination with another health professional, such as a medical doctor, massage therapist or specialist, the appropriate referral will be provided. Lastly, once you are comfortable with the proposed treatment, your first visit will conclude with that treatment.

The first visit is more lengthy due to the time required for you to complete the information forms, and for Dr. Popham to complete the history and examination. Each following visit will be shorter in length, and will consist of a few questions from the doctor and treatment. The doctor will perform periodic evaluations on you throughout your course of treatment to monitor your progress.
